Tanner's post: My picture for Tristan

Tanner asked tonight if he could write something on Tristan's blog, so this is, in his own words, his entry: It was one month ago today that my little brother went home to be with Jesus. It was the saddest day of my life. When mommy and I got home from the store we ran up the stairs and mommy held Tristan and talked to him and then I talked to him and said words I will never forget, "I love you buddy, you were the best little brother, I loved being your big brother, I will never forget you, I promise". I kissed him and then mommy told him that all his friends (Poppy Joy, Maddox and Mary Grace) were waiting on him and then he passed away. I drew this picture to put on our refrigerator so we can remember the 56 days that Jesus gave us with my little brother, Tristan. Thank you to everyone who leaves me comments, who ask about me and who prays for me. I really miss Tristan being here with us but I know he is in Heaven with Jesus and that I will see him again. Please keep praying for me and my family.

Hi Tanner,

I just have to tell you that I love you and you have taught me so much about living every day to the max!! I love how you love Jesus and your family, and especially how you loved Tristan with every beat of your heart. You are so grown up for your age and the time you spent loving Tristan has taught you things that most people don't learn until they are much older. You know how to love completely, with an open heart, even when it hurts, and not run away. God has great plans for your future, I see them happening already. Enjoy being a boy, you have plenty of time before you become a man, and a wonderful man you will be.!!!!! I love you.

Hiya Tanner,

What a great post! You can't possibly imagine how great it is to have a big brother, because you ARE the big brother. But let me tell you... I have a big brother and it's the best thing in the world! Big brothers are not only our friends and protectors, they are also our spiritual guides. And your two younger brothers got the best big brother anyone could imagine! And even though Tristan went to heaven, you will always be his big brother. Right now Tristan is up in heaven holding hands with all the other angels and they are looking down at all of us. Tristan is pointing right at you and saying to all the other angels, "that's MY big brother Tanner! Isn't he wonderful!"

I just wanted to let you know that all us old grown up people have learned so much from your brave and beautiful heart! Stay strong kiddo, but also don't ever be afraid to feel sad and cry and miss your awesome little buddy. You are just so cool!

Hugs,
Christena

Dear Tanner,
Tristan was such a lucky little boy to have a big brother like you. I'm sure that you made his time here wonderful for him. You have been through a lot for a young man but I think you are handling everything wonderfully! My little boys and I pray for you and your family everyday and we will continue.
Love,

Tanner-

I love those precious words that you spoke to your little brother! I love that you loved him with everything in you and that although he isn't here now with you, you know without a doubt that he is with Jesus! Thank you for telling him that his friends were waiting for him... they were sweet boy, they were waiting! Now they are having a wonderful time at the feet of Jesus... and someday we will all see them again and have a great big party!

I love your brother too... I love your family and please know that we continue to pray for each of you every day! The Lord has big plans to use you and it is already evident now... you are fabulous!

You are the best big brother!

What perfect words you say! You are a sweetie, and how lucky was your baby brother to have YOU in his life. I know you will always remember him and I know your Mom appreciates all that you do. :)

Tanner, I just have a feeling that God is going to use this experience in your life in a great and mighty way. And please remember, Tristan is still your little brother, and you are still his big brother, he just lives in a better place right now, a place where he can be healthy and whole. What a glad day that will be when you are all together again. Until that day, hold him in your heart.

Tanner,
I just read your entry. You are such a wonderful young man, brother, son - you have so much courage and you have been so wonderful to your Mommy! You are so good to both of your little brothers and Tristan will watch over you your entire life. When you wrote about your Mommy telling you that Tristan was with my Mary Grace, Poppy and Maddox, the tears flow....thank you for reminding me so I can imagine how happy all our babies are. You are precious Tanner and you are a blessing. I pray God continues to comfort you and your family.
With love,
Kim

Tanner, you are the best big brother ever. I believe Tristan is smiling down at you from Heaven, just like my baby girl Miller Grace smiles down at her big sisters. What important jobs you each have had, loving these babies from Jesus like you have! Way to go, Tanner. God is proud of you and so am I. :)

How's my 'Spider Solitaire' playing Buddy?!?!?!?!

I sure do miss you playing with me every evening during our "alone" time. Do you know something? It just isn't any fun playing by myself anymore. My percentage is 77...can't seem to get it to increase without you.

AND you will never guess what I did to Grandma's laptop! Well, she asked (and it's important to remember SHE asked) me to add some 'buttons' to her toolbar. I kinda' did that, but I also erased her Spider Solitaire. I can't for the life of me figure out how I did it. She reminds me of that most every night. I've offered to work on her laptop again, but she hides it from me!!!! I don't know WHY....

I enjoyed your post and the artwork. Did you use the art supplies we gave you? You really are an artist. I bet Tristan is telling all his pals about his Big Brother and how much you love him and took such good care of him during the time Jesus allowed him here for all of us to love.

Has my 'gentle giant' hid your glasses anymore? He's so cute with all those red curls and that deep voice. You have your hands full with that little brother!

I'm serious now...I'm so glad Jesus blessed you with time to tell Tristan how much you loved him, how he was the best little brother ever and how you loved being chosen his big brother. Isn't Jesus wonderful how He knows how to bless us in just the way we need? I know you miss Tristan so much, but that's because you loved him so much. And we all know he loved you. You could see it in his eyes how much he trusted you as you held him...that was love for you.

I am praying Jesus will send you special angels to wrap you in their arms and give you the extra special love and comfort you need when you miss Tristan so much.

I'm also praying for Daddy and Mommy and Tayden, too.

Grandma sends you her love and prayers. She's been sick for awhile and she stays home most of the time (except for Drs. appointments). Please pray for her.

I love you, Grandson, so-o-o-o-o-o very much...all the way to heaven and back a Centrillion times. Gotcha!!!!
